Common Questions

How much does Norby cost?

You can try out Norby’s Growth plan completely free for two weeks. If you add a payment method, you'll automatically be enrolled in our monthly plan and you will be charged when your trial ends. If you continue with monthly billing for your Norby subscription, you'll be charged $19 every month, but you can also save 25% by switching to an annual plan.

The Growth plan includes your own phone number as well as 200 SMS, 100 MMS and 25,000 emails. If you go over those limits, you'll only be charged for the SMS and email you actually use with our pay as you go pricing. (Pricing for international SMS delivery varies. For current rates, please see the pricing table above and here.)

Can I switch plans?

You can change your plan at any time. If you upgrade before the end of your current billing cycle, you'll receive a prorated rate for your new plan for the remainder of the cycle. If you choose to downgrade, your downgrade will automatically be processed at the end of your subscription billing cycle.
Is there a discount for nonprofits?

Can I add more users to my plan?

The Growth plan includes up to 3 team members but you can add more for $10 per user per month. We also offer custom plans that can be tailored to your needs with a specific number of seats. Email support@withnorby.com for more information.
How are payments processed?

If you are on a paid Norby plan, your Norby subscription is charged monthly and processed through Stripe. Stripe is a PCI service provider with the most stringent level of certification available in the payment industry. To read about Norby billing click here.
How does pricing work for SMS?

With Norby, you’ll never be billed for the number of contacts you have, but instead just for the number of messages you use. The Growth plan includes 200 SMS message segments per month and if you use more you’ll only be billed for what you use.

SMS messages are divided into segments which contain 160 characters or less. For example, if a message contains 200 characters, it will be two segments long: 160 characters in the first segment and 40 in the second. This will count as 2 messages sent even though it may appear as one when sent to the receiving user. The longest an SMS message can be is 10 segments.

Note that the above only applies to domestic US & Canada SMS. For International SMS, you’ll only be billed for what you use, but pricing varies by country.
Who owns the data in my account?
